K2Korea Group expands its headquarters to Jagok-dong, Gangnam
Bringing together its affiliates to create synergy within K2Korea Group
The end of the fifty-year Seongsu-dong era
K2Korea Group said on 13th that it will move its headquarters to Jagok-dong, Gangnam-gu.
K2Korea has left Seongsu-dong, which had been its headquarters for about 50 years since its establishment, to open the era of Gangnam. With the relocation of the new building, the existing dispersed offices will be merged into a single building to maximize management efficiency. The company plans to seek new takeoffs and growth by increasing synergy among its affiliates.
The new building has a floor space of 38,737.67㎡ with three basement floors and 10 stories above the ground, which is 2.5 times the size of the Seongsu-dong building. It consists of office spaces, conference rooms, reception rooms, a fitness center and a cafe. The company will also operate a K2 Group multi-brand store that has a collection of group brands in one store.
Established in 1972, K2Korea Group operates six brands, including outdoor brand K2, Eider and Salewa, golf brand wide angle, sports brand Dynafit and industrial safety brand K2Safety. Total sales last year amounted to 1.05 trillion KRW (based on tag price sales).
“As we leave Seongsu-dong, which has been our home for a long time, and build a nest in a new place, we will make the relocation of our headquarters a starting point for a new leap forward," said Young-hun Chung, CEO of K2 Korea.
